WHAT TO DO?
DowntownThis is the largest shopping district in the city, but its main attraction is the 1000-acre Stanley Park. The park’s hiking and biking trails make it so popular, as well as the Vancouver Aquarium which is also located there.
Downtown is very busy for most hours of the day and safe; however, if you wander to the Downtown Eastside, you must be extra careful as this is the infamous area of the district. This does not mean that you will get mugged or feel threaten, but you will find beggars, prostitution, and open drug use.If you are visiting Stanley Park, be cautious in isolated zones if traveling alone. Attacks are rare, but it is best to be aware of your surroundings at all times.
